After you complete the challenges that the ghost requires, it thanks you for freeing their soul and in turn one of the spirits is removed allowing you to enter into an area of the ship that was formerly blocked off. So throughout the gameplay, you're traveling from present to past. There aren't many clues, you have to use your brain to find what you need.
The graphics are excellent. The music is very good. The game is very long and interesting throughout the entire game. Rated 5 out of 5 by scrcrow from Step Through History The flashbacks in the game where one went from the seafloor where the Titanic ended up to the opulence of the ship before it hit the iceberg was nicely done.
The game wasn't so convoluted that you couldn't figure it out since there's no walk-through. I enjoyed the story line and the music that changed from being haunting when your character seemed to be dead and when you seemed to be alive and on the Titanic itself.
It is a game I will play again. Figuring out who was who and where the story was going was one of the genuine pleasures of the game. It had me stumped until the end. Rated 5 out of 5 by mary from Wonderfully surprising! After reading the reviews in the forums I'm blown away by this game. The graphics are excellent as well as the storyline. The puzzles which I normally skip with most games I solved right away.
I like how this game is a different take on the different Titanic games I've played. I am definitely glad I tried it and bought it. Rated 5 out of 5 by millymolly80 from Beautifully made game. Spent a credit on this and so glad I did. The graphics were beautifully done, loved going through the time tunnels and saving lost souls. Really intrigued with the story-line,kept me hooked till the end. This was a good long game to play and lots of things to do.
The hidden objects were very clear and well done. Liked the hint system which tells you to try another location if there is nothing to do One of the Best games i have played on the Titanic theme. Enjoyed it, didn't want it to end. The game is very old school regarding the interface, which can be noticed when doing the free trial.
It's a good mix between HO Scenes, puzzles and storyline, the puzzles being from easy to medium in difficulty. Some hints are hidden in the conversations, which I think is great. Graphics are good, sound is good, the bonus scenes at the end give some background information.
So all in all a good game. I recommend it, but advise to do the trial first. What you experience during the trial is what you get. Just a few highlights: Instructions to puzzles are sometimes vague. Everything can be skipped. The monologue is quite nice, as are the voice overs. You can sometimes take charge of the direction of the conversations. Good cutscenes. Entertaining characters. You travel to most locations through the interactive map only.
Average graphics. There are other Titanic games out there. Rated 4 out of 5 by Boomer from Great Cut Scenes I liked this game, but it does have some bad points. The main characters are you, your husband, your mother and a young boy. Obviously the Titanic sinks in the end, but you have things to do around the ship before that happens.
There is an extraordinary amount of dialogue during the game; however, you can click through it. The HOS are excellent, they are well lit and the items are challenging to find. The mini games are acceptable, some are really easy. The interactive map is useful. The graphics are good and the cut scenes are excellent. The voice overs are acceptable. The music is annoying, but it can be muted.
Towards the end, you have to decide whether to go with your mother or husband, which does make it a bit interesting. The downside to this game is there doesn't seem to be a storyline. PC Also available on Mac.

I am not a good one for reading the stories in games. The 1st time I played it, I missed a lot. So I played it again, and read all. The fact re: the 1st Titanic were great. This is Titanic 2. Can't recommend it enough! I promise U will enjoy it. This was great!
You get diary pages throughout game that tell a story along with info bits from the other players on the history. There was no pressure. I played untimed. I liked the way you found 10 items, then played HOP, then found another item to use in the scene. Best of all was hopping back and forth into different parts of ship. Probably boring to action fans; but, for a change of pace, I loved it!
